PTN Review

Poker Training Network, or PTN, is a new network marketing company that just launched on August 17th 2009. I’m going to give you an overview of what PTN is, what they have to offer, as well as give you some free tips you can use to build a successful PTN business.

PTN: “The Poker Training Network”

PTN has been put together with the idea of helping people learn how to improve their poker skills, while being able to share it with others and create an extra source of income.

They feature a comprehensive study system called Poker TEL, which stands for Technology Enhanced Learning. TEL is to uses advanced technology to educate people on their specific level, at their own pace, and allow them to interact, so they can perfect their skills a lot quicker than it would take if they had a ‘regular teacher’. It’s used by many of the major college and universities around the world as a tool for learning at a much faster rate.

They also feature another piece of software, which compliments the Poker TEL software, called Poker Edge. This software gives you even more of the ‘edge’ you need to be on top of your game. It’s constantly being updated by PTN to ensure that their customers continue to receive top quality training and cutting-edge learning tools.

PTN isn’t just a company with an educational product…

PTN is a complete educational program that has everything you need to improve your poker skills, including an online social media network.

Social media networks are good for two things: To meet like-minded individuals who are on the same path as you, so you can learn and share ideas with them, and grow together…All while having fun ‘hanging out’.

I’ve found that social networking is the best way to learn a skill, simply because you can ask for help with ANYTHING in the forums, and you can meet some of the biggest leaders and mentors in your industry. It’s actually how I met Jonathon, and how we’ve become partners…So don’t ever underestimate the power of social media sites.

PTN is a great idea mainly for two reasons…

1. Poker is a very popular sport, and it’s a great way to meet and connect with people.

2. Poker players are always seeking ways to improve their skill, to ultimately better their chances of winning.

PTN allows you to offer cutting-edge coaching for poker to help people be more successful at winning. When you’re in the business of helping people by educating them on how to be successful with a specific skill, and have cutting-edge technology to do it, you are HOT and In-Demand!

That’s why I love the idea behind PTN, because they offer training and tools to people who want to improve their poker skills.

Mark my words, “Any company who’s products or services are truly meant to improve a skill at something, will be around for a while.” Think of those types of businesses as ‘schools’ or ‘academies’ because that’s what they are, and as long as they remain in the cutting-edge, they’ll always be In-Demand.

The PTN Compensation plan:

PTN has created a lucrative compensation plan that pays you five different ways…

1. Retail Sales- The difference from the retail price of the products and your discounted price whenever you personally make a sale from your site.

2. Team Commissions- Earn 10% commissions from the products sold by the people you personally enrolled. “So basically 10% of what they sell.”

3. Marketing Bonus- Earn 50% of what your personal enrollees earned, and 5% of the earnings their enrollees… for 9 levels deep. “This I have never seen before. Amazing!”

4. Leadership Bonus Pool- Pays a percentage of sales to the ‘top business builders’

5. Incentive Packages- They’ll distribute 50% of their overall revenue made from sponsorship and advertising to the ‘top business builders’

It seems to be that PTN treat their ‘top business builders’ a lot differently by rewarding them with extra bonuses that nobody else gets but them; I think it’s a great way for them to encourage leadership…

But what about everyone else? What about the people who will try really hard, probably a lot harder than the top people, what do they get for working so hard?

PTN Scam?

OK, maybe that headline was a little harsh, and maybe PTN isn’t a exactly a scam, but there are some things about PTN that seemed a bit unfair and deceiving to me…

Looking back at their compensation plan, notice that the last two listed are only for the ‘top business builders’ meaning that only three of those are meant for the masses. So if you don’t qualify as a ‘top business builder’ in their eyes, then you will miss out on a lot of extra bonuses and earning potential.

If you are thinking of joining the Poker Training Network to make a lot of money (which is probably the case), I suggest that you…

If you are thinking of joining the Poker Training Network to make a lot of money (which is probably the case), I suggest that you work on becoming one of those ‘top business builders’ so you can experience the rewards PTN has to offer.

In the video on their opportunity site, Dennis Windsor talks about his background of 30 years in network marketing, and how he’s seen many products and services in his lifetime. He goes on to saying that he’s never seen anything like PTN before and, “PTN has the most powerful recruiting website ever built.”

That made me a little upset when I heard that, because there really is no website (especially from a company) that’s the ‘most powerful’ at recruiting. I thought he was either a complete liar, or just an insane network marketer who truly believes that PTN’s site is really the most powerful recruiting site ever built. Then I realized that he was the President of PTN; that made a whole lot more sense to me because then I understood why he would make such a bold claim.

Most network marketing companies (if not all of them) will try their best to make their distributors to believe that just by sending people to ‘your replicated website’ (which really isn’t yours to begin with) you’ll sign people up, and the website will do all the selling for you.

That might work for some people here and there, but that’s not what the top earners do. Top earners in network marketing understand that people do business with people (not websites). They understand that the replicated site they get doesn’t belong to them, and has nothing to do with them, so they have no intentions of sharing it to anyone (unless someone asks).

So How Do You Make Money With PTN?

Here are just a few tips I put together that will help you earn those ‘top business builder’ bonuses…

  • Build relationships with poker players (especially beginners)~ Find out where they’re hanging out (forums, networking sites, casinos, online poker tournaments, etc.) and focus on building strong connections with them, by presenting yourself as a friendly and helpful ‘poker person’. Get to know them personally (on a ‘friendship’ level).
  • As you’re learning more from your Poker TEL classes and developing your poker skills, share them with your new friends. Teach them some stuff here and there that will help them improve their poker skills. Post forum threads with some cool tips that have helped you, or what you think will help the forum community. Add as much value to the community as you can.
  • After you have established your friendly connections, and you’ve shared some good poker tips…You will begin to position yourself as quite the ‘poker expert’ in their eyes, and you will begin to attract the people who seek help, training, or mentoring (who are the type of people you want to attract) to your business.

From there, you’re on your own. You will have to come up with your own way of introducing PTN to them…

The one thing you DO NOT want to do is talk about all the benefits they have to offer. DON’T talk about how they are the best in the world, and how they can make you rich by sharing it with your friends.

So many people get too excited about their opportunity, products, or service, they can’t stop talking about all the great things they have to offer. So they end up scaring their new friends (potential partners) away by turning into a ‘human advertisement’…Nobody likes commercials.

Please don’t be one of those people. Keep your authenticity and personality…Keep your friendships close…And have fun doing it! Don’t join PTN unless you truly have a desire to learn how to play poker, and want to meet others who share that same desire.

One last important tip for you: If you want to be the MOST successful in network marketing, you ABSOLUTELY must learn How To Market. If you master just that one strategy I shared earlier, you can literally walk into any hot company and dominate it!

The more you develop your skill as a marketer, entrepreneur, and leader…and the more ‘marketing principles’ you get down to a science…the easier it will become for you to create success with ANY business.

Sounds like an interesting idea but im confused, if its already launched where is the website? It seems like something that should be advertised on a site like http://www.tipsforwinningpoker.com that gives information on new promotions and advice on how to succeed in poker.
